A blend of rich cultures with traditions of tattooing, Hawaii has become somewhat of a Mecca for the art form. Overtime, ink Polynesian, Hawaiian, Asian and even military have created a visual language that learn and appreciate today.

In fact, he became so large that art institutions are starting to take notice. The Museum of Art of Honolulu has launched a piece connecting the past and the present of the art of tattooing of Hawaii through works such as prints of the 19th century describing the Hawaiians tattooed and 19th century Japanese prints that are the source of many contemporary tattoos. The exhibition also presents specialized tools used by artists and textile related to Polynesian tattoos.
While I do not have tattoos, I have always had an appreciation for them and see the tattoo as a major art form in today's society. They are more considered as a mark of the marginal but expression of respectable. I liked learning about the evolution of the tattoo during a visit to the exhibition. He was treated for comparison of different inks, such as the traditional Hawaiian kakau and tattoos found in the Japan and in all Polynesia. Some of my friends have traditional tattoos of Hawaii in correlation with the Hina Hawaiian goddess and male God Ku.
Art exhibition "Tattoo Honolulu" explores the evolution of the form of art in Hawaii ' I.
In addition to the exhibition, visitors can meet native artist from Brooklyn Mike Ledger, which was presented to the culture of tattooing by grandfather tatted fully. A series of lectures by Tricia Allen, called "Traditions of tattooing in Polynesia," will be held July 30-August 5, 2012 at 19: 30
