People vacation to Hawaii for many reasons. One reason nearly everyone has in common is Hawaii sightseeing. So if you’re wondering where the best spots on the island to take a picture are, here’s our favorites!

We love pictures of Hawaii. Have you seen our Instagram photos? These spots will get you great vacation photos of a view you’ll never forget.

On Oahu’s rocky southeast shore is Makapu’u Lookout. With a spectacular view looking north across Waimanalo Beach and Kailua Bay, offshore islands pepper the coast for one of Oahu’s best views.

The view from Makapu'u Lookout is nothing short of stunning on a sunny day. The view from Makapu’u Lookout is nothing short of stunning on a sunny day.

Looking southeast on a clear day from nearby Halona Blowhole and you can see the faint outline of Maui on the horizon!

Hawaii Volcanoes National Park is home to some truly amazing natural wonders. Mount Kilauea is the the World’s most active volcano and the Kilauea Crater Overlook is the best place to see activity in the crater.  Sometimes you can feel the heat from the volcano and you should see how the crater glows at night!

Maui’s Hana Highway is one long scenic point. Carved into the seaside cliffs of Mount Haleakala, winding it’s way through coastal valleys and along black sand beaches, the Hana Highway has some of the pristine scenery in Hawaii. Touring the Road to Hana is a much more convenient way to take great shots, instead of having to focus on the 600+ curves!

It’s also one of the windiest spots on the island, do be sure to mind your hat at the lookout!
